It has been quiet for a while in terms of blogs, there were a lot of things going on in the background, so blog writing disappeared into the background. At the end of last year I also caught Corona. At that moment it just felt like a bad flu. I underestimated the aftermath a bit. And especially the fatigue bothered me. Just tired all day and my condition is not what it used to be. Poor sleep is also something like that. I used to just sleep until the next day and now I was awake a lot. Wake up 5 to 6 times a night and then lie awake for half an hour to an hour before falling asleep again. Fortunately, I have very nice people around me and if all goes well you will have noticed little or nothing of it.
Sleep exercise therapy
I now sleep a lot better since I started seeing a sleep therapist . Thank you Aniek, you don’t know how very happy I am with you! In addition, I am also going to change employers and will soon be working half days so that I can continue to run the tea brewery. Yes, it all looks rosy again!
Finally more Energy
More energy also meant that I had time to dive into the kitchen again and I brought out my great friend Earl Gray again. Chocolate and Earl Gray are a match made in heaven.
This time it was delicious Earl Gray Chocolate fudge, oh boy once you start eating it (your mouth is already starting to water again, hahaha). The combination of this Chocolate fudge with Earl Gray is a match made in heaven.
I won’t keep you in suspense any longer and will quickly post the recipe below so that you can get started yourself. Well, you can’t really call it a recipe with only 3 ingredients and a preparation method that is incredibly easy
Ingredients:
- 1 can of condensed milk (397 grams)
- 350 grams of dark chocolate
- 1 tablespoon Earl Grey
- Cocoa powder (for garnish)
Handy to have:
- Baking tin (I used 1 of 20×20 cm
- Baking paper
Preparation method:
- Chop the chocolate into small pieces (if you still have some pent-up frustration, you can also attack the chocolate with a rolling pin ???? )
- Place a sheet of baking paper in the baking tin
- Place the condensed milk in a pan, add the finely ground Earl Gray tea and pieces of chocolate.
- Heat the mixture over a low to medium heat until the chocolate has completely melted and you have a thick, lumpy fudge. NB! Make sure it doesn’t boil or the chocolate may burn.
- Pour the fudge into the baking dish and spread it evenly. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
- Now comes the hardest part… Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until the fudge has hardened. You can then cut the fudge into pieces and garnish with cocoa powder.
Enjoy:
- Make yourself a cup of tea
- Place a few pieces of fudge on a saucer and store the rest for a while. Believe me this is for self-protection (thank me later ????)
- Grab a good book and curl up on the couch or in your favorite chair.
- ENJOY!!
